Who is Route 15

The “old” man in the group, Harv has been playing professionally for 52, count ‘em, 52 years on the stage. Harv is a tenor sax man by trade and during the greasy days of the 50s and early 60s was respected as one of the finest sax players in the region. In 1958 he was with a “Duane Eddy and the Rebels” copy band called ROBIN AND THE RED VESTS. They did some recording but just weren’t able to get the records off the ground. Harv took a break after high school and studied music in Boston at Boston Conservatory of Music and spent a lot of time playing in various Jazz trios. In the 70s he was part of the popular local band E-Z RIDER, playing sax and bass. Harv took a few years off to raise the kids and be “dad”. In the mid 80’s E-Z RIDER started up again and this time he played keyboard, sax and bass until they gave it up for good on January 1, 1990.
Time passes and trends in music change, so Harv has been devoting all his time to playing bass with an occasional tune on soprano sax. Harv played with Brian, Jay and Dan in BOYS IN THE ATTIC. He also played with Brian and Jay in the acoustic group SOUTHBOUND and then worked with Jay in JAY YOUNG. Harv says that ROUTE 15 is “absolutely” the best music project he has ever been a part of (no disrespect intended) and really loves playing with these guys.
